    How does this "all-weather" setup actually hold up if inflation and rates stay high, dragging down both stocks and bonds? Between fees, taxes, and rebalancing, does it really beat a simple index mix?

    When rates and inflation jump, both stocks and bonds often struggle — just look at 2022's massive drop.
