Facing loss due to altcoins, should I sell them or wait?

I gained profit after buying DOT and XRP, but I faced losses from the other two small altcoins. What should I do now, should I wait for these to go back up or buy BTC now to hold for a long time? I need your suggestion. Thanks in advance!
