Does Aetna cover inpatient depression treatments?
-
My mother is suffering from depression; right now she is not under any medication. She has a health insurance policy from Aetna. So my question is: If my mother is hospitalized because of depression, then what is the proportion of inpatient treatment costs that is refunded? Are there any restrictions on the yearly coverage for them, and are some treatments given preferences?

Aetna covers mental health treatment for inpatients, including treatment for depression. The amount of the refund depends on the type of policy and the coinsurance.
Since you haven't specified the type of policy your mother currently has, it's advisable to speak with Aetna directly and thoroughly review your policy.
