With all the rate changes and rising U.S. debt, should I be considering Treasury bonds for quick, safe parking of cash (short-term) or as a long-term anchor for my entire portfolio? Since I have zero bond experience, how do I realistically determine if now is the right time to jump in?

I opened an account at JP Morgan Bank at the age of 19 with around $2000. And i have no idea what I should do with this money. Should I keep this money in the bank or invest it somewhere else? Is this bank offering a good interest rate, or should i change the bank?
