Instead of just closing the account, I'm wondering if there’s a "middle ground" solution. Will implementing an ACH block or a new payment plan with the lender prevent surprise charges and protect my credit score and legal standing?

If I close my Chase account to stop the payday loan withdrawals, will that cause any problems with lenders in Texas? Would it be a better idea to request an ACH block or to set up a repayment plan instead to avoid extra fees or legal trouble?

For everyday spending, which prepaid cards or wallets are best for use? I am currently pursuing my college education and working part-time. I don't want to open a bank account.
