Will the insurance company allow me to postpone my car repairs?
-
Hi
I got into a fender bender and informed my insurance company. According to the shop, a minimum of 15 days is required to fix the car. But the problem arises because I have to go on a office trip after 6 days that I planned already.
Is it possible that I can postpone my car repair after I come back from work? Will the insurance company allow me to do this? In this case, what should I do?

You can postpone the repairs, but it's best to check with your insurance company first. Explain your situation to your insurance company, and discuss delaying the repair until after your trip. Most companies will work according to your schedule, but you have to disclose the accident. If there are any updates regarding the modification, notify your insurance provider.
