Does the timing of the refund depend on whether Walmart scans my return in-store versus online, or is it mostly up to my bank? In your experience, does the money usually show up in a few days, or should I realistically expect it to take a full week?

From next month on, I will be visiting new places, and for that, I need to book a hotel room.  So my question is, is there any debit card that gives me benefits in hotel bookings like discounts or free upgrades?
