Even though hot wallets are open for everyone to see, how do we know updates are safe? Can we trust the people who make them? Does Apple check well enough, or do we need other ways to make sure our money is safe?

I just purchased travel insurance from World Nomads, but i have one question in mind: if i fall ill or meet with an accident abroad, then how much does World Nomads cover for medical bills? Does World Nomads cover any emergency evacuation back to the US in this scenario?
