Why is Citibank removing some controls on my debit card?

Hi, I got an official statement from Citibank that the bank is removing some controls on my debit card. They reduced my number of transactions internationally, my daily spending limits and many more.
I chose this bank because of these features only. Why is Citibank doing this? Any idea.

To lower the fraud risks, Citibank might be modifying its rules like regulatory changes, fraud prevention strategies, risk assessment. Sometimes banks can change the card limits. So it's better to have a word with Citibank officials and ask for the particular cause of these modifications and investigate whether any possibilities exist to revert your former restrictions.
